COPILOT offers multiple methods for activation, each catering to different usage scenarios and preferences.
Whether you prefer direct app access, widget convenience, contextual sharing, or hands-free operation, COPILOT adapts seamlessly to your workflow.
The direct approach:
Open the Apple Shortcuts app.
Search for the "Activate COPILOT" shortcut.
Run the shortcut to interact with COPILOT directly.
This method is straightforward but doesn't pass any contextual information to COPILOT, making it ideal for direct queries or commands.
For quick access:
Touch and hold an empty area on your home screen until the apps jiggle.
Tap the "+" icon in the upper-left corner.
Search for and select the "Shortcuts" widget.
Choose the first widget size and tap "Add Widget".
Tap "Done" to stop the apps from jiggling.
Long press the widget you just added and tap "Edit Widget".
Select the "Activate COPILOT" shortcut to finalize the setup.
Now, simply tap the widget for instant access to COPILOT, without needing to open the Shortcuts app.
When you use the Share Menu to activate COPILOT, it receives the shared content as input. This allows COPILOT to provide Quick Actions relevant to the context, such as processing text, images, or web pages.
For quicker access, add the "Activate COPILOT" shortcut to your favorites:
Open any app and select a text, image, or file.
Tap the "Share" icon.
Scroll down to the "Edit Actions..." option.
Find "Activate COPILOT" under "Other Actions" and tap the "+" icon to add it to "Favorites".
For hands-free activation and continuous voice interaction:
Activate Siri by saying "Hey Siri" (or just "Siri" on iOS 17) or holding the side button.
Say "Activate COPILOT".
